Rozi is an application that will allow a migrant workers to register themselves to find work

Who is it for?
Rozi aims to help migrant workers gain more control of what, when, and how of the job they sign up for by eliminating the middleman/contractor.
However, it can be used by anyone looking for a job in and around their location.
Target audience
Rozi has been designed with unskilled workers as its primary users under the employee category.

Application Features
Onboarding Employers
Once the employer logs in for the first time, they’d be prompted to provide their personal details such as Name and Address, along with KYC verification.
Job Listing
Employer can post job listings with information such as nature of work, work hours and pay scale.
Contacting employee
The employer will be provided an option to view employee details and call the employee
Withdrawing job listing/employee
Employer can withdraw job postings and remove workers from job if they no longer have a requirement or if employee does not perform well.
Onboarding employee
Rozi has a very simple interface that allows users to register with only phone number and there after login using a One Time Passwords generated thereafter
Job/work finding
Rozi allows workers to search for job listings using city name PINCODE and the area of work. Upon selecting the PINCODE the app also displays the areas in and around the selected PINCODE to allow the worker to have more flexibility on choosing the location of his work.
Once the location has been selected by the user, the app prompts the user to select the type of job the user is looking for. The user can view the details of job listing along with details about pay
Job/work confirmation
Once employer has accepted the job application, the details of the job , location, duration , etc will be displayed to the employee in detail
Withdrawing job
With Rozi, withdrawing from a job is as simple as a click of a button. If worker find the pay not adequate or if there are any other concerns around the employer the worker can withdraw from an accepted job at anytime

The research was done using this design thinking process. It started with empathize phase to defining the problem and ideate phase to brainstorm the user problems and its solutions. The solutions are then transformed into features for the application.

Summary
Through Rozi, we are trying to eliminate the “middle man” in recruiting unskilled labours. So both the worker and the employee benefit from it. Workers are getting direct access to the opportunities through the app, which reduces the chances of exploitation by mediators.
They get the freedom to choose the kind of work and wages beforehand, making them self-reliant. Employer will have to register using Aadhar or equivalent document, which makes him accountable. This system could help the government to bring them into an organized sector.
On the employer side, it will become a hassle-free process of finding and hiring low wage labourers. The platform will help reduce his dependency on the middleman & can save money for him.
In future, we’re planning to provide a social credit system for employees and employers based on in-app ratings. Employees will be rated based on the quality of work and work ethics. The system will encourage them to work better, thereby bringing social harmony.
